In an interview with Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang this week the CEO unveiled that even though the current Nvidia Shield Tegra powered handheld games console was only recently launched in to the hand held games console market.
Nvidia are wasting no time developing a next generation of handheld games consoles ready for launch in the form of the Nvidia Shield 2 which is expected to be powered by a next generation Tegra processor.
The current Nvidia Shield is powered by a Nvidia Tegra 4 processor supported by 2GB of RAM and comes supplied running Android Jelly Bean and is available to purchase for $299.
During this weeks event it was also announced that a new game streaming service called Nvdia Gamestream would also be launching towards the end of this month on October 28th.
The new Nvidia Gamestream streaming service will support nearly all GeForce GTX PC graphics cards Nvidia revealed and will support around 50 PC games, when it launches. Jen-Hsun Huang explained that the new Nvidia Gamestream service was developed to enable the Nvidia GeForce Experience software to pair with Nvidia’s graphics processors and the Shield console.
